Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations for local and regional home delivery networks. You will monitor performance metrics, ensure driver safety, and coordinate distribution center activities.

The role requires supervisory experience, WMS/LMS familiarity, and strong payroll and reporting skills. You will manage schedules, labor hours, training, and staff development while driving process improvements and compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of warehouse/distribution center experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse equipment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience with labor management systems.
• PC literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for local and regional big and bulky home delivery networks.
• Track metrics: On-Time Delivery (OTD), cost-per-stop, revenue per truck.
• Monitor driver behavior and safety metrics via telematics and dashcams.
• Coordinate daily activities within the distribution center.
• Prepare work schedules and respond to labor needs.
• Manage labor hours and payroll in timekeeping system.
• Interview and train new team members.
• Supervise staff development, appraisals, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure adherence to performance goals and safety policies.
• Recommend process improvements for warehouse efficiency.
• Review records for accuracy and stock level adequacy.
• Schedule inventories and manage stock discrepancies.
• Assign duties and ensure quality and policy conformance.
• Standardize procedures to improve team efficiency.
• Prepare leadership reports and maintain warehouse property.
• Submit weekly/monthly service billing, supervise operations per policies.

What you will be doing:

• Lead daily operations for local and regional big and bulky home delivery networks.
• Track key metrics like On-Time Delivery (OTD), cost-per-stop, and revenue per truck.

Monitor driver behavior and safety metrics through telematics and dashcams.

• Coordinates daily activities within the distribution center
• Prepares work schedules and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs
• Manages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping system
• Interviews and trains prospective and new team members
• Supervises business support staff development including appraising performance, rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Ensures team understands and works toward performance goals
• Recommends process improvements within the warehouse or distribution center
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels
• Ensures compliance to all company and customer policies and procedures including safety
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories
• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and ISO9002 procedures
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of team.
• Prepares reports for leadership
• Assists in maintaining the physical properties of the warehouse
• Submits weekly, monthly and other special services billing to customer services representatives
• Supervises employees in distribution center operation in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
• Other duties as required and assigned

*For food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
