Job summary

Hajoca Corporation, a leading wholesale distributor, seeks an Operations Supervisor at our Phoenix, AZ location. The role offers hourly pay between $27 and $32 with full-time benefits and opportunities to lead a busy Profit Center.

You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and drive efficiency and profitability while maintaining safety standards and high customer service levels. Inside sales and purchasing responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years operations experience.
• Ability to lead a team and drive results.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for communication and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all business operations are conducted in the most efficient, effective, and profitable manner.
• Manage processes used in all aspects of the Profit Center's business and investigate productivity improvements.
• Supervise a team of profit center teammates.
• Provide training and guidance to profit center teammates to ensure adherence to company policies and delivery procedures.
• Serve as an escalated point of contact for inquiries or concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Analyze sales and inventory performance reports and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Review daily sales and inventory reports and address issues promptly.
• Evaluate inventory reports for accurate annual Physical Inventory.
• Resolve customer, vendor, and carrier complaints quickly and effectively.
• Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with Safety Standards and OSHA.
• Safeguard and maintain Profit Center assets.
• Complete required safety and compliance training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what's special about each local marketplace.

Thorson-Keenan is one of those trade names and is looking for an Operations Supervisor at their Phoenix, AZ location.

Pay for Operations Supervisor is between $27 and $32 per hour at this location.

About The Role

You will:

• Ensure that all business operations are being conducted in the most efficient, effective, and profitable manner.
• Manage the processes used in all aspects of the Profit Center's business, solve problems as they arise, and continually investigate the possibility of productivity improvements.
• Supervise a team of profit center teammates.
• Provide training and guidance to profit center teammates to ensure adherence to company policies and delivery procedures.
• Serve as an escalated point of contact for inquiries or concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Analyze sales and inventory performance reports and implement appropriate strategies to increase sales, improve operating efficiencies, manage assets, and increase return on investment and profit sharing.
• Review daily sales and inventory reports and address issues immediately.
• Evaluate inventory management reports regularly to ensure an accurate and efficient annual Physical Inventory.
• Resolve all customer, vendor, and carrier complaints and disputes quickly and effectively.
• Ensure the Profit Center conducts all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
• Maintain and insist upon a safe working environment in compliance with the company's Safety Standards, OSHA, and any other applicable regulations.
• Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets - buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

• Be able to quickly develop a comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
• Be able to safely operate a forklift and all material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Effectively read, write, speak, and understand English.

Additional Details

This role will also include inside sales and purchasing responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable assisting customers, processing orders, and supporting purchasing needs as required.
