Operations Supervisor – Bacon Production | 1st Shift

Location: Hatfield, PA | On-Site

Schedule: 5:00am start | Some weekend flexibility required

Clemens Food Group's Hatfield North facility is a large-scale Ready-to-Eat and Value-Added manufacturing operation producing bacon, sausage, and smoked meat products. This role provides the opportunity to lead one of the facility's most significant production areas, with ownership of the full bacon process across injection, pressing, and slicing.

As the Operations Supervisor, you'll lead approximately 34 team members, including two Team Leads, and have significant responsibility for people, performance, and continuous improvement. The scope provides exposure across the business and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader looking to continue growing toward Superintendent, Director, or other operations leadership opportunities within Clemens Food Group.

What You'll Do
  • Own performance across safety, quality, production, labor, yield, and operational KPIs.
  • Spend approximately 60% of your time on the production floor, actively coaching your team and staying connected to the operation.
  • Lead daily huddles, identify performance gaps, solve problems, and turn improvement opportunities into measurable results.
  • Partner with Quality, Food Safety, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and other teams to improve overall performance.
  • Anticipate operational challenges and drive sustainable improvements across the bacon operation.
What We're Looking For
  • 5–10 years of manufacturing leadership experience at the Supervisor, Superintendent, or comparable level.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience preferred, with meat or protein processing experience strongly preferred.
  • Candidates from other complex, high-volume manufacturing industries with transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Career progression from hands‑on manufacturing roles into increasing levels of leadership is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage KPIs, develop people, and deliver measurable operational improvements.
  • A self-driven leadership style with a bias for action, continuous improvement mindset, and ability to anticipate what's ahead—key behaviors identified for success in this position.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.

With broad operational ownership and significant cross-functional exposure, this role is well suited for an experienced manufacturing leader who is ready for substantial responsibility and continued growth toward Superintendent, Director, or other operations leadership opportunities.
