Job summary

SIMCO Electronics is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of our calibration and repair laboratory in Phoenix. This leadership role requires a technically strong, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

You will manage laboratory operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive financial performance, while overseeing technical and administrative staff and maintaining accreditations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Calibration & Repair
  • PMEL or equivalent training preferred
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of calibration and repair lab
  • Oversee staff including supervisors and non-exempt employees
  • Manage P&L; budgets and variable expenses
  • Drive operational efficiencies to reduce costs
  • Maintain ISO/IEC 17025, UKAS, KEMA accreditations
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, and leadership
  • Support Regional Director/VP on initiatives

SIMCO Electronics is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of our commercial calibration and repair laboratory in Phoenix. This is a leadership role for a technically strong, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Do

As the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing laboratory operations while ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead by example and embody company's Mission in Service
  • Manage daily operations of the calibration and repair laboratory
  • Own P&L responsibility, managing budgets and variable expenses
  • Oversee technical and administrative staff, including supervisors and non-exempt employees
  • Drive operational efficiencies to reduce costs and improve service performance
  • Maintain and expand laboratory accreditations and scope (ISO/IEC 17025, UKAS, KEMA)
  • Resolve complex technical issues related to TMDE
  • Maximize utilization of laboratory assets and recommend capital acquisitions
  • Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and corporate leadership
  • Support Regional Director/VP on key initiatives and strategic projects
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in the Calibration & Repair industry
  • Strong technical background in:
  • Physical Dimensional
  • General Test Equipment Calibration
  • PMEL or equivalent technical training highly preferred
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or section lead role
  • Proven experience managing a technical service organization
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to motivate teams and drive results independently

Competitive salary: $90k–$100k
