Job summary

CHS Inc. offers a paid Operations Specialist Intern opportunity in Circle, MT. You will work closely with the full-time Operations Specialist to originate grain, engage with local producers, and develop marketing plans while learning through mentorship and real-world assignments.

The internship can start as early as Spring 2027 and extend through the summer, with competitive pay and growth opportunities inside a global agribusiness.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with grain origination: procure grain from local producers and call on new accounts.
• Learn and observe working with producers, updating them on market trends, current grain quotes, grain programs, and forming marketing plans.
• Assist with reporting and typing all purchasing contracts quickly & accurately.
• Assist Grain Originator with rail billing and grain sales settlements as needed.
• Partner with the elevator and office staff in the exchange of information to enhance the flow of grain.
• Provide excellent customer service and work well with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program.

Additional Qualifications

• Agriculture/crop/grain experience or background knowledge very helpful.
• Previous internship experience helpful, but not required.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
