Job summary

Bake Fresh is seeking an Operations Specialist to oversee workflow across departments and optimize daily activities for maximum customer satisfaction. You will partner with plant management and the finance team to drive inventory control, procurement, and accurate data entries in ERP systems.

The role requires strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and attention to detail. Day shift, Monday–Friday, nonexempt, with potential overtime and weekends during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 2–3+ years in operations, inventory control, procurement, or supply chain.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory systems (Business Central, Dashboard).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of raw materials and packaging.
• Schedule inbound and outbound freight.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet manufacturing needs.
• Conduct cycle counts and month-end inventory.
• Generate daily production and departmental reports.
• Handle weekly customer invoicing and payment tracking.
• Enter Purchase Orders, consumption, and orders in ERP.
• Coordinate flow of information with plant management and finance.

Bake Fresh is a 365-day a year operation that includes weekends, holidays, and the potential for overtime. This role is anticipated to work dayshift, Monday-Friday.

Overall Responsibility

The Operations Specialist is responsible for the management of workflow throughout all departments and aspects of the business. Thepurpose of this position is tooptimizedaily activities and performance of the business across the supply chainand ensure the highest level of customer service – both external and internal. The role will work closely with the plant management team as well aspartnering withthe finance department.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP data entry (purchase orders, sales orders, transfers, consumption)


• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy


• Cross-functional communication — coordinating with plant management and finance


• Problem-solving / troubleshooting on inventory and billing discrepancies


• Self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities

Preferred (nice-to-have)

• Familiarity with food-safety / GMP requirements in a manufacturing setting


• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management

Education/Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.


• High School Diploma / GED required


• 2–3+ years in operations, inventory control, procurement, or supply chain — ideally in a food manufacturing or other regulated production environment preferred.


• Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory systems (the duties name Business Central, and Dashboard) preferred.


• Procurement and freight/logistics coordination (inbound & outbound) preferred.


• Cycle counting and month-end physical inventory preferred.

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a manufacturing environment.Inside an air-conditioned building with normal temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees. Minor smoke/smell from ovens and dryers. Contact with food allergens like wheat, egg, soy, milk, peanuts, and tree-nuts. Occasionally required to enter walk-in-cooler or freezer for a short period of time with normal temperature between 0 to 40 degrees.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Stooping and bending may be below the knees, lifting and reaching may be above shoulders. On foot on a continuous basis. Grasping, pushing, pulling as needed.

Posted pay ranges reflect the expected starting compensation for each position. Actual offers may vary based on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skill set.

$24.00-$25.00/hour
