Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Shift Operations Manager to plan and coordinate a shift in a distribution facility. You will oversee daily shift operations, lead Warehouse Supervisors, and ensure safety, quality and timely completion of tasks.

The role requires 2–5 years in general warehouse work and a track record of coaching and performance management. Travel is not required and the work environment includes freezer and perishable areas.

Qualifications

• Associates/Bachelors or equivalent in General Studies or related field.
• Diploma or degree in general studies as listed.
• Certifications in safety or food handling are a plus.
• Experience in warehouse operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee daily shift operations including selection, shipping, receiving, cross docking and trailer loading.
• Lead & supervise Warehouse Supervisors for safe and efficient warehouse activities.
• Resolve issues impacting daily labor standards and shift completion.
• Monitor labor standards daily and take action to meet targets.
• Conduct performance management including annual appraisals and development plans.
• Ensure coaching and counseling follow policies and procedures.
• Participate in determining the department operating budget.
• Shift flexibility between 1st shifts.

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge : Knowledge of Warehouse safety regulatory standards.
• Special Skills : Coaching skills for team development. Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills sufficient to communicate performance expectations and motivate and retain staff members.
• Physical abilities: : Safely and efficiently move products weighing up to 60lbs. Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hrs
• Other: : Ability to apply conflict resolution techniques.
• Basic proficiency with personal computer operations; Microsoft Office applications preferred (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). : Bilingual a plus. Certifications Preferred in Food Safety, Fork Lift Operator, HACCP.
