Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mid-Level Operations Research Systems Analyst to support intelligence operations. You will apply quantitative methods, develop models, and translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.

The role involves analytical reporting, collaboration with planning teams, and participation in intelligence planning meetings and exercises. A background in OR/Systems Engineering with 3–5 years’ experience is preferred, including TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience applying operations research methodologies to real-world problems.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and experimental design.
• Proficiency in simulation modeling and analysis tools.
• Understanding of decision analysis and optimization techniques.
• Skills in data visualization and presentation of quantitative results.
• Experience with analytical software (R, Python, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply mathematical models and optimization techniques to enhance operations.
• Conduct analyses of operational processes to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
• Perform statistical analysis and design experiments to evaluate performance.
• Create discrete event simulations to model complex scenarios.
• Brief analytical results to senior leadership for data-driven decisions.
• Prepare detailed analytic reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
