Job description

Operational Research/System Analyst responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of U.S. Army strategic sustainment operations, with a focus on war plans.

Responsibilities

• Support military decision making processes by developing models and applying statistical tools and methodologies, optimization, and simulations.
• Research and gather information from subject matter experts within the sustainment enterprise to inform analysis and recommendations.
• Recommend analytical strategies to team leads, supervisors, and other decision‑makers.
• Author documents and presentations to explain findings and make recommendations to executive level leaders.
• Analyze strategic documents and provide written summaries for senior leaders.
• Perform quick‑turn analysis and visualization products for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or physics is required. Master’s degree in a similar subject is preferred.
• Previous experience at Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), Army Materiel Command (AMC), or Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) desired.
• Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI.
• Location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
