Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team is seeking an Operations Research and Data Science Manager in San Antonio, TX to oversee task planning and execution on multiple large projects. You will lead data-driven analyses, refine operational requirements for DoD domain awareness visualization and data fusion, mentor teams, and coordinate with senior leaders to deliver cutting-edge defense solutions.

This role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional groups and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or related field.
• 10+ years overall experience and 5+ years in data-centric/analytical program management.
• Clearance: Minimum Secret with ability to obtain TS, SCI, SAP.
• Experience in designing and supervising complex systems of systems and enterprise architectures.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects for senior decision makers.
• Defense sector or DoD project experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Operations Research and Data Science Manager to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, TX, to oversee and approve task planning and execution on several large projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Studies and Analyses: Assist customers in understanding analysis needs, clarifying decision options, leading teams in conducting fact-based studies to provide data-informed solutions, and presenting findings to senior leaders.
• Requirements Analysis: Recommend and refine detailed operational requirements for emerging Dept of the Air Force domain awareness visualization and data fusion technologies
• Program Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to achieve aggressive project timelines and cutting-edge technology outcomes.
• Advanced Modeling Techniques: Recommend and leverage software modeling and test tools to validate performance.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior and senior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Required Qualifications:

• BA / BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field
• 10+ years of overall experience and 5+ years of experience in data-centric / analytical program/project management.

• Clearance: Minimum Secret with the ability to obtain TS, SCI, SAP.
• Complex System Design: Experience in designing and supervising the development of complex systems of systems and enterprise architectures.
• Program Management: Proven track record in managing and delivering complex projects. Experience should include managing projects for senior decision makers.
• Team Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills in a collaborative environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within all organizational levels, including senior DoD leadership.
• Defense Sector Experience: Previous experience in the defense sector or with DoD projects.
• Proven ability to recommend, embrace and implement change in a fast-paced, high-performing, hand-picked organization.

Desired Qualifications:

• MA / MS in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in data-centric / analytical program/project management.
• Emerging Technologies: Interest in and experience with the latest system modeling and engineering techniques and languages.
