R10093789 Operations Quality Manager (Open)

Location: Phoenix, AZ - 51st Ave - Carrier gases - On-site - TSMC

Air Liquide provides ultra pure carrier gases and advanced precursor molecules for the electronics industry. The Operations Quality Manager will champion and guide all aspects of quality management within Air Liquide's onsite Gas Plant supporting a large electronics campus.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate Air Liquide Electronics' existing quality management system with on site quality tools to meet customer expectations.
  • Guide and support a team of technicians and specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Establish, review and foster alignment and adherence with SOPs for analyzer and instrument calibrations, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, analyzing data to identify trends, root causes of non-conformances and opportunities for improvement, including working with the engineering department to develop a statistical process controls program and developing trend reports for management review.
  • Cultivate and advance continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D problem-solving to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, analyzer vendors, design and project teams to partner to meet customer needs regarding 24/7 monitoring of gas quality.
  • Ensure alignment with all relevant industry regulations, customer specifications, and Air Liquide safety and environmental policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to product quality and operational processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in the electronics or specialty gas industry.
  • 8 years experience operating and maintaining in-line gas analytical equipment with APIX, APIMS, Gas Chromatography, GC/MS, FIDs, and other types of analytical equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Strong understanding and practical application of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, SPC).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Microsoft Office acceptable) and experience with QMS software.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.
  • Proven ability to propose improvement to management systems and implement them.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
