Job summary

Axelon Services Corporation in Syracuse, NY seeks an operations analytics professional to develop analytical tools, run capacity analyses, and partner with plant leadership to improve on-time delivery and throughput. You will build dashboards in Power BI, automate reporting, integrate SAP data, and apply statistical methods to identify bottlenecks and opportunities across the manufacturing network.

• Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business analytics, data analytics, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical tools and models to evaluate capacity, bottlenecks, constraints, and throughput opportunities.
• Create standardized methodologies for setting realistic production targets based on labor, equipment, material availability, and constraints.
• Conduct capacity analysis to identify opportunities to increase output and improve resource utilization across the manufacturing network.
• Partner with plant leadership to develop and maintain capacity plans supporting customer demand and business objectives.
• Develop reporting and performance management tools to improve service levels and reduce backlog.
• Analyze demand, production, inventory, and order data to identify root causes impacting service and delivery performance.
• Monitor KPIs and provide data-driven recommendations to accelerate service recovery.
• Assist leadership in decisions to improve on-time delivery, backlog reduction, and schedule attainment.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools using Power BI and other platforms.
• Automate manual reporting processes and improve data accessibility for plant leadership.
• Develop standardized operational metrics to improve consistency across plants.
• Create predictive and statistical models to support planning and decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and governance of operational data sources.
• Support SAP data integration across reporting tools.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality and reporting consistency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to drive measurable business results.
• Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other operations analytics, reporting, and performance improvement duties and special projects as assigned.

Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Monday-Friday, normal office hours

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business analytics, data analytics, or related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting manufacturing operations through data analysis, reporting, or performance improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated success developing analytical tools that drive measurable business results.
• Advanced SAP experience, including extraction and analysis of operational and manufacturing data.
• Advanced Power BI dashboard development and data visualization skills.
• Proficiency with Minitab or equivalent statistical analysis software.
• Experience with SQL, Excel, and other business intelligence tools.
• Strong experience with manufacturing and operational data management.
• Knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, service metrics, schedule attainment, and backlog management.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, and performance measurement.
• Experience partnering with plant leadership, operations teams, materials management, and supply chain functions.
