At BrandSafway, our Operation Manager will play a critical role in ensuring scaffold materials, equipment, and resources are safely managed, accurately tracked, and readily available to support customer projects. This position is responsible for leading warehouse personnel, managing inventory and logistics, maintaining operational efficiency, and promoting a strong culture of safety and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse employees and frontline supervisors.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate employees to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to warehouse personnel.

Warehouse & Yard Operations

• Oversee daily scaffold warehouse and yard operations, including receiving, stocking, loading, unloading, and shipping materials.
• Ensure scaffold equipment and materials are properly stored, maintained, and organized.
• Monitor workflow to maximize productivity and service levels.
• Coordinate workforce allocation to meet operational demands and customer schedules.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure proper tracking and accountability of scaffold materials, equipment, and company assets.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Support inventory forecasting and material planning to meet business needs.

Logistics & Equipment Coordination

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to support branch operations and customer projects.
• Ensure timely delivery and return of scaffold materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with transportation providers, operations teams, and project personnel to meet scheduling requirements.
• Monitor equipment utilization and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Safety & Compliance

• Champion BrandSafway's commitment to safety by ensuring compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards promptly.
• Maintain forklift certifications, equipment inspection records, and required documentation.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their work safely.

Operational Excellence

• Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Resolve operational and inventory-related issues quickly and effectively.
• Support department goals related to productivity, quality, customer service, and profitability.
• Utilize data and reporting to make informed decisions and drive results.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of operations management, warehouse management, or logistics leadership experience.
• Experience supervising employees in a warehouse, industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment.
• Formal forklift training and 1-3 years of forklift operating experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Associate's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience within the scaffolding, construction, industrial services, or equipment rental industry.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
