Whole Person Care Clinic (WPCC) seeks a Recuperative Care Operations Manager to oversee daily site operations for the short-term residential program serving individuals experiencing homelessness discharged from hospitals.

You will supervise multidisciplinary staff, ensure safety, compliance, and high‑quality, trauma‑informed care, while coordinating with case managers, hospitals, and community partners.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification (required within 30 days of hire).

Position Summary

The Recuperative Care Operations Manager is a key organizational leader responsible for the strategic, operational, and clinical coordination of Whole Person Care Clinic’s Recuperative Care program. This role oversees all day‑to‑day site operations for a short‑term residential program serving individuals experiencing homelessness who are discharged from hospitals or healthcare settings and require structured recovery support.

The Operations Manager ensures a safe, trauma‑informed, and clinically aligned environment by supervising multidisciplinary staff, maintaining operational excellence, and driving consistent adherence to healthcare, regulatory, and program standards. This leader is accountable for workforce performance, client flow, safety systems, quality assurance, and cross‑department collaboration, ensuring that every aspect of the program operates with reliability, professionalism, and dignity.

The role requires a steady, solutions‑oriented leader who can navigate high‑acuity situations, support complex client needs, and maintain strong partnerships with hospitals, referral sources, and community agencies. Through clear communication, operational discipline, and a commitment to client‑centered care, the Operations Manager ensures the program delivers consistent, high‑quality services that support client stabilization and recovery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Site Operations & Safety

• Manage daily operations and logistics of the recuperative care site.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility for clients and staff.
• Oversee client admissions, discharges, and bed assignments.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, health regulations, and emergency preparedness plans.

Staff Supervision & Workplace Culture

• Supervise care staff, including client support specialists, case managers, medical team, and peer support workers.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, performance evaluations, and schedule management.
• Cultivate a trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and collaborative team culture.

Client Care & Coordination

• Ensure individualized recovery plans are developed and followed for each client.
• Coordinate services with case managers, medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and referring partners.
• Support crisis management, grievance resolution, and emergent client needs

Program Oversight & Quality Assurance

• Monitor client progress, bed occupancy, and program metrics.
• Ensure compliance with WPCC policies, healthcare standards, and funding requirements.
• Assist with billing submissions, and internal audits.

Stakeholder Communication & Community Engagement

• Serve as the primary liaison for referral agencies, hospitals, and funders. Represent WPCC in community coalitions, site visits, and partner meetings. Communicate program updates, policies, and client outcomes clearly and professionally.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, social work, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years in healthcare, shelter operations, or human services program management
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of recuperative care, homelessness, and public health systems.

Certifications or Licenses

• BLS Certification (required within 30 days of hire).
• Valid CA Driver’s License and ability to travel locally.

Schedule and Travel Requirements

• Full‑time (40+ hours/week), Exempt
• Some evening, weekend, or on‑call hours may be required
