Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for Fulfillment Operations in Bethlehem. You will lead distribution, customer service, HR, and recruiting, driving safety, quality, and efficiency across the facility.

You will set and monitor performance metrics, coach the team, and collaborate with HQ to share best practices while aligning with revenue goals and company strategy.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of leadership experience.
  • Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management or related field preferred.
  • Experience with safety procedures within a distribution center environment.
  • Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8–10 hrs.

Shift: 2nd Shift

Role Description:

You will be responsible for managing staff, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring customer satisfaction and proper departmental operation. You will have a hands-on approach and be committed to the expansion & success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable the company to hit revenue goals. This role reports to the Senior Operations Manager , Fulfillment Operations. The backup for this role is the Senior Operations Manager, Fulfillment Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Direct several operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, and recruiting.
  • Ensure that we meet and exceed our merchant’s expectations.
  • Manage performance KPIs, identify and track key metrics and plan continuous improvement efforts for your facility.
  • Use data driven reports and analyses to identify avenues for continuous improvement and propose solutions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Hire, train, coach and motivate team members in your facility; you will be responsible for setting the team’s goals and managing them.
  • Establish, follow and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements.
  • Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all operational processes, including receiving, storage, handling, and shipping, maintain the safety, quality, and legality of products. Supports adherence to standard operating procedures and ensures timely escalation of any product-related issues.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 4+ years of leadership experience.
  • Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management or a related field, preferred.
  • Experience with safety procedures within a distribution center environment.
  • Established track record of taking ownership and delivering results.
  • Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without restriction.
  • Able to stand and walk continuously during and up to a 8-10 hr shift.
  • Able to bend, stoop, reach above, and push/pull frequently.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. We are targeting a salary range of $ 85,000 - $90,000 for this role. In addition to ba se salary, this role includes the opportunity to be eligible for participation in the Company's disc retionary bonus plan based on Company's plans and in accordance with Company’s policies.
