Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Zephyrhills, FL plant operations, drive safety, quality, and production efficiency, and develop a high-performing team. You will apply lean manufacturing principles, oversee schedules, and monitor KPIs to meet targets in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires strong leadership, in-depth manufacturing knowledge, and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3+ years’ experience in a similar industry or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in building materials or a related industry.
  • Prior Site or Plant Management experience with ability to drive engagement, coaching, and performance management.
  • Experience with full P&L responsibility.
  • Proven track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing employees.
  • Experience overseeing production, maintenance, and facility operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools; SAP or similar platforms preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards; OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality
  • Plan and manage production schedules, work assignments, and resource allocation to meet output targets
  • Monitor KPIs and leverage dashboards to identify gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Lead root cause analysis for production issues and drive resolution strategies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and frontline teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Support and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Identify and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity and reduce waste
  • Drive process optimization and cost reduction initiatives
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies and methods to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with site leadership to develop long-term manufacturing strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and business objectives
  • Enter and maintain safety related data into Oldcastle programs
  • Assist in the preparation, submittal, and maintenance of permit applications to the proper regulatory controls
  • Use acceptable methods of inspecting sample and test aggregates, asphalt, concrete, or other materials for the purpose of quality control

Job Summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a results driven Operations Manager to help lead manufacturing operations at our plant in Zephyrhills, FL. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety and quality standards, and leading a high-performing production team. Job Responsibilities
