Job summary

PrimeSource Building Products is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead warehouse and distribution operations across our nationwide network. You will drive safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement while building high-performing teams.

You will oversee daily activities, coach supervisors, manage labor planning, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and operational leadership experience
• 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution leadership
• Experience leading supervisors and large hourly teams
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping/receiving, and safety compliance
• Experience with WMS, ERP, SAP, or related systems
• Proven ability to drive performance, accountability, and process improvement
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift/PIV experience or certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse and distribution center operations including shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment
• Drive KPI management, productivity improvements, and process optimization
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, safety standards, and SOPs
• Develop and coach warehouse supervisors, leads, coordinators, and associates
• Manage labor planning, staffing, scheduling, and workflow prioritization
• Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies with cross-functional teams
• Partner with transportation, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure service
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, safety, and cost reduction
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance
• Support onboarding, performance management, employee development, and corrective action
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and improve performance
• Ensure outbound/inbound freight meet customer expectations and timelines
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and discipline

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee daily warehouse and distribution center operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment


• Drive operational excellence through KPI management, productivity improvements, and process optimization


• Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA regulations, safety standards, and operating procedures


• Develop, coach, and lead warehouse supervisors, leads, coordinators, and warehouse associates


• Manage labor planning, staffing, scheduling, and workflow prioritization


• Monitor inventory accuracy and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies


• Partner with transportation, sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure excellent customer service


• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, safety, and cost reduction


• Maintain high standards of warehouse organization, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance


• Support onboarding, performance management, employee development, and corrective action processes


• Analyze operational data and reporting to identify trends and improve overall performance


• Ensure outbound and inbound freight operations meet customer expectations and delivery timelines


• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational discipline

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution leadership experience


• Prior experience leading supervisors and large hourly teams preferred


• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping/receiving, and safety compliance


• Experience with WMS, ERP, SAP, or related operational systems


• Proven ability to drive performance, accountability, and process improvement


• Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
