Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee all operations and development of the facility, ensuring safe, proper, and efficient operation and maintenance under the Plant Manager's direction.

Ideal candidates will have extensive incineration plant experience, a minimum of five years in supervision, and a technical degree with a Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineer license (or eligibility for first class).

Qualifications

  • Six years' incineration plant experience with at least five years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent desirable.
  • For Massachusetts facilities, a 2nd Class Engineer's license is required and ability to sit for a 1st Class license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities including installation, inspection, testing, repair, adjustment and calibration of plant equipment and instrumentation.
  • Plan and conduct major outages; implement and direct an effective PM program and lubrication plans.
  • Maintain positive work environment through professional communication with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.

Job description

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for an Operations Manager who has the ability to manage all activities related to operations and development of the facility. They will be responsible for the safe, proper, and efficient operation and maintenance of the facility in accordance with company policies and standards, under the direction of the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate Maintenance activities to include but not be limited to installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating all plant equipment and instrumentation.
  • Plan and conduct major outages; implement and direct effective PM program, lubrication plans.
  • Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
Education and Experience

Three years or more previous experience in comparable role in an administrative support or business support role is required.

Bachelor's or Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent desirable

Six years' experience in an incineration plant environment, with a minimum of five years in a supervisory role.

For all Massachusetts facility's, a 2nd Class Engineers license is required and the applicant must be able to demonstrate the skills, experience and knowledge to sit for a 1st Class Engineers license.

  • Access confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12" by 16" manways
PPE Required
  • Work in areas under adverse conditions that may require the donning and use of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, the following with average fatigue:
  • Negative pressure respirator

  • Self-contained breathing apparatus (steel or composite bottle)
