Job summary

Hyper Solutions is seeking an Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations across internal teams and external partners in Richmond, VA. You will translate production plans into operational results with strong collaboration across Supply Chain, Engineering, and third-party manufacturers.

You will also drive forecasting, inventory, and vendor management while supporting new product introductions and certifications, including ERP system adoption to boost visibility and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Admin or related field.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience in electrical equipment, power distribution, industrial manufacturing, or engineered-to-order environments.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and capacity management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and influencing third-party or contract manufacturing partners.
  • Experience conducting site visits, operational reviews, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar).
  • Demonstrated leadership of operations teams, planners, or partner program managers.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority across internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy production and capacity plans across manufacturing partners to maximize output and delivery performance.
  • Align master production plan and detailed schedules across internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering and third-party manufacturers to execute production plans.
  • Support implementation and adoption of Hyper’s ERP systems to improve visibility and planning.
  • Oversee forecasting, procurement, inventory, warehousing, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
  • Lead onboarding and performance management of new manufacturing partners.
  • Drive performance across safety, ethics, quality, delivery, cost and cash.
  • Support new product introductions, production readiness and certification activities.

Job description

The Operations Manager at Hyper Solutions is responsible for leading and coordinating manufacturing operations across Hyper’s internal operations and external manufacturing partners to drive efficiency, scalability, and execution excellence. This role plays a critical part in translating production plans into operational results while ensuring strong collaboration across Supply Chain, Engineering, and third-party partners.

In addition to operational execution, this position supports strategic partner development and helps ensure Hyper’s manufacturing network is aligned to meet customer, quality, cost, delivery, and growth objectives.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy comprehensive production and capacity plans across manufacturing partners to maximize output, efficiency, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment of the master production plan and detailed schedules across internal teams and external partners.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, and third-party manufacturers to ensure effective execution of production plans.
  • Support implementation and adoption of Hyper’s ERP systems to improve operational visibility, planning accuracy, and execution performance.
  • Oversee and support forecasting, material procurement, inventory management, warehousing (local and virtual), outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution activities.
  • Lead operational efforts related to identification, onboarding, and performance management of new manufacturing partners.
  • Drive performance across safety, ethics, quality, delivery, cost, and cash objectives.
  • Support new product introductions, production readiness, and certification activities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage operational cost and cash performance, including pricing support, payment terms, freight strategies, and MRO-related initiatives.
  • Participate in operational reviews, site visits, and corrective action initiatives with manufacturing partners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production planning, execution, and partner performance.
  • Serve as a key operational liaison for customers, partners, vendors, and distributors as needed.
Requirements

Location

Onsite in Richmond, VA or remote, depending on candidate location and business needs.

Compensation

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $115,000 - $145,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, certifications, and location. This hire will be eligible for a discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
