About the Role
This position is responsible for the overall leadership and management of branch operations, personnel, sales, customer service, and asset management. The role exists to ensure the branch operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while fostering a collaborative environment. As a key leader, you will contribute to the organization's growth by building strong customer relationships and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for branch operations.
- Assign duties and manage work progress, productivity, and staffing.
- Establish performance expectations and goals for employees.
- Conduct regular meetings to address operational issues and communicate initiatives.
- Ensure operations comply with company policies and safety requirements.
- Manage branch financial performance, including Profit & Loss statements.
- Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and development of branch personnel.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Monitor and manage branch equipment, vehicles, and assets.
- Provide leadership and direction to branch sales teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience managing branch, equipment rental, crane, construction, or related operations.
- Knowledge of mobile cranes and crane load charts preferred.
- Experience with equipment rental operations and rental management systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of sales, customer service, and business development.
- Strong analytical and financial management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in an office environment, equipment shop environment, or job site.
- The ability to drive at night is required.
- Noise, fumes, and chemicals associated with a shop environment are expected.
- Overnight travel is required.
