Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in California is seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate all manufacturing processes to meet budgets and forecasted goals. You will drive process upgrades, set standard work, and maintain quality to satisfy customer requirements.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage material flow for improved on-time delivery, and implement lean and six sigma initiatives to reduce overhead and improve margins.

Qualifications

• BA in Business or Operations preferred; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing of electronic, mechanical, aerospace and automotive assembly environments or related business.
• Experience working cross-functionally with other functional leaders in a matrix environment.
• Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Windows, Excel, and ERP/MRP systems.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all manufacturing processes to meet plant forecast and budget goals and objectives.

• Maintains manufacturing quality standards to meet customer requirements.
• Plans with scheduling the flow of manufacturing material to improve on-time delivery (OTD).
• Implements and drives lean and six sigma projects to improve operations and margins.
• Develop department capital and operating budgets.
• Improves quality, cost, yield, productivity, safety, and delivery.
• Maintain employee relationships prioritizing continuous improvement.
• Review and approve organizational structure, staffing and training of manufacturing personnel.
• Selects and decides on operating methods, purchases and requirements of machinery and equipment.

Job Summary
