Job summary

First Responder Wellness is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to supervise daily operations across multiple facilities serving first responder behavioral health clients. You will lead Shift Supervisors, BHTs, and facilities staff, partnering with Clinical and Nursing leadership to ensure safe, efficient care.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, strong collaboration skills, and a track record of building high-performing teams in complex settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of behavioral health/SUD experience.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license, First Aid/CPR, and required health/background clearances.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Knowledge of DHCS, Joint Commission, HIPAA and behavioral health.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate Shift Supervisors and BHTs across facilities.
• Oversee daily staffing, client programming, coverage, and client flow.
• Partner with Clinical and Nursing teams to support client and program needs.
• Ensure compliance with DHCS, Joint Commission, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
• Oversee facilities, maintenance, inventory, supplies, safety, and operational resources.
• Manage operations budget and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Oversee BHT performance, timekeeping, attendance, and staffing needs.
• Serve as Health & Safety Officer, conducting inspections, coordinating drills, and implementing corrective actions.
• Participate in CQI, Operations, and Clinical meetings and share on-call responsibilities.
