Job summary

Riva Recruiting is seeking a Credit Operations Manager for a leading hedge fund in New York. You will own the full lifecycle of credit trades, spanning affirmation, matching, settlement, exercise/expiry, across structured credit, CDX/CDS, CLOs, CMBS, MBS, TBA and cash bonds.

You will collaborate with prime brokers, executing brokers, and fund admins to ensure timely settlements and accurate PnL, while driving automation and scale across the desk.

Qualifications

• Real credit middle-office / operations experience at a bank, asset manager, fund admin or hedge fund.
• Hands-on exposure to structured credit products (this is the differentiator)
• Strong markets knowledge and the organization to juggle a fast, high-volume desk
• Someone who spots the broken process and fixes it rather than working around it

Responsibilities

• The full lifecycle of credit trades — affirmation, matching, settlement, exercise/expiry — across structured credit, CDX/CDS, CLO, CMBS, MBS, TBA and cash bonds
• Bond, repo and structured-credit settlements, partnering with prime and executing brokers to keep things clean and on time
• PnL break investigation alongside PnL Control — validating security and model setup, reconciling against clearing houses (ICE) and bilateral counterparties
• Daily relationships with executing brokers, prime brokers and fund admins
• Automation and process improvement — working with technology and vendors to take the manual work out and build for scale

One of the top multi-strategy platforms on the Street is building out its credit middle office — and looking for an operations professional who wants real ownership, not a cog-in-the-machine seat. You'll sit shoulder-to-shoulder with credit PMs and traders, run the full trade lifecycle across some of the most interesting products in the market, and have a direct hand in shaping how the desk scales.
