Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience in blow molding/injection molding, automotive.
• Experience managing production, maintenance, engineering, tooling and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO standards.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
• Ability to improve productivity, reduce costs, and meet KPIs.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting and cost control.
• Experience overseeing preventive maintenance and capital projects.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and succession planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective cross-functional communication.
• Proficiency with production planning and manufacturing metrics.

Scope of Position

The Operations Manager provides overall leadership for a blow molding manufacturing operation, with direct responsibility for production, production scheduling, maintenance, tooling, engineering, technical resources, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is accountable for achieving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives while ensuring optimum utilization of personnel, equipment, and capital resources. The Operations Manager leads cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, enhance manufacturing processes, drive innovation, and support the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred.


• 5+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience, preferably in blow molding and/or injection molding environments in the automotive industry.


• Proven experience managing production, maintenance, engineering, tooling, and continuous improvement activities.


• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards (OSHA, EPA, ISO).


• Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.


• Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, reduce costs, minimize downtime, and achieve operational KPIs.


• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling labor, material, and maintenance costs.


• Experience overseeing preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and capital projects.
