Job summary

Laramar is seeking an Operations Manager to serve as a strategic partner to Regional Managers and Community Managers across the portfolio. This role provides interim leadership during staffing transitions, supports training and development, leads ResMan training, and manages special projects.

The Operations Manager ensures consistency, compliance, and performance while driving process improvements and team development.

Operations Manager serves as a strategic partner to Regional Managers and Community Managers across the portfolio. This role provides interim leadership during staffing transitions, supports training and development, leads ResMan training, and manages special projects. The Operations Manager serves as a portfolio-wide resource, ensuring consistency, compliance, and performance while driving process improvements and team development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide interim Community Manager coverage during vacancies, leaves, and staffing transitions.
• Support Community Managers with operations, leasing, resident relations, collections, and financial performance.
• Train and onboard team members on company processes, policies, and ResMan.
• Serve as a resource for best practices and process improvements.
• Conduct community and file audits to ensure compliance with company standards and affordable housing requirements, as applicable.
• Assist with budgeting, month-end reporting, delinquency management, and reporting.
• Lead or support special projects, acquisitions, software implementations, and operational initiatives.
• Partner with Regional Managers to identify challenges and implement solutions.
• Travel throughout the portfolio to provide onsite support as needed.
• Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of multifamily property management experience required.
• Community Manager experience required.
• Affordable housing experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of ResMan or similar property management software.
• Experience training, coaching, and supporting site teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• The work environment consists of residential multifamily communities, office settings, and remote work environments as business needs require. The employee must be able to work effectively in environments with frequent interruptions, including residents, staff, vendors, telephone calls, and other distractions. Regular travel between communities and business locations is required.
