Ryder is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator in Harvey, IL for a 2nd shift (Tue-Sat, 2:00pm-10:00pm) within the Operations Management Trainee program. This 18-month training develops leadership and operational knowledge while supporting customer retention and efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree is required; relocation may be needed. The role offers a structured path with mentorship and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) with company match and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience preferred.
• Strong PC knowledge including spreadsheet and word processing software packages (MS Office).
• Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer relationship activities with quality interface, proactive management, issue resolution and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with rental department to maximize utilization without compromising lease customers.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and satisfaction growth.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads; ensure policy and processes are followed.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Schedule PMs and oversee vehicle status updates; plan technician workload and training.

Operations Management Trainee (OMT) is an 18 month structured and comprehensive training program to develop leadership and operational knowledge. The position involves working collaboratively with different teams to gain insights into the business, processes and strategies to align with customer retention, all facets of operational excellence and metrics.
This position will give you a chance to utilize your problem solving abilities to help make good business decisions for the company.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the customer relationship activities by providing quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.

• Accountable for coordinating with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure accurate PM scheduling and follow up, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; oversee Technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility.

Additional Responsibilities

• Relocation within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program is required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
