This role is essential for maintaining plant reliability, safety, and environmental compliance, whether assigned to a shift or the maintenance team. You will be responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment critical to our mission.

The ideal candidate is a proficient technician capable of managing complex systems—such as gas and steam turbines, generators, and water treatment equipment—with minimal guidance while strictly adhering to safety and environmental regulations. This is a full-time position that requires an individual contributor who is authorized to work in the USA.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • System Inspections & Data Recording: Perform an \"Inspection of Watch\" on each plant system and record data from meters and gauges—including temperature, vibration, fluid levels, and water chemistry—to verify operating conditions.

  • Water Chemistry Management: Perform analysis on HRSG, auxiliary boiler, and cooling tower systems, making necessary adjustments to chemical feed and blowdown rates to ensure chemistry remains within proper control ranges.

  • Electrical & Mechanical Tasks: Responsible for opening and closing circuit breakers for system operation or electrical isolation, and performing piping and conduit installation for plant upgrades.

  • Operational Documentation: Utilize the facility’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), assist with the development of O&M procedures, and write routine reports or work requests.

  • Safety & Regulatory Adherence: Strictly adhere to all safety and environmental rules, facility safety programs, and plant environmental permits to protect personnel and public safety.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with vendors for chemical ordering and timely equipment repairs, and assist in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of failures.

  • Continuous Improvement: Perform general housekeeping and painting projects to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all plant areas and the control room.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, technical manuals, and P&IDs.

  • Maintenance Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment, including proficiency in repairing, replacing, and dismantling defective parts.

  • Analytical Skills: Adept at diagnosing problems with mechanical equipment and performing water chemistry analysis.

  • Communication & Training: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train other personnel and write operating procedures.

  • Fabrication & Tool Proficiency: Capable of operating welding and cutting equipment, as well as tools such as drill presses, pipe threading machines, and grinders.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform walking, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
