Maricopa County Department of Transportation seeks an Operations and Maintenance Supervisor for the Roadway Maintenance Division. You will lead about 20 staff, direct daily activities, and coordinate crews and heavy equipment to maintain safety and extend asset life.
You will interact with residents and agencies, respond to emergencies, and ensure work complies with MUTCD and MCDOT policies. A CDL and state certifications are highly valued.

The Operations and Maintenance Supervisor for the Roadway Maintenance Division is responsible for directing the daily activities of an average of 20 employees, including a Field Supervisor, Crew Leaders, Heavy Equipment Operators, Equipment Operators, Striping Technicians, and Roadway Technicians. This position is an opportunity to use your skills, training, and strengths to lead a team that responds to customer concerns and performs scheduled maintenance for the safety of the traveling public. You will feel a sense of accomplishment by directly serving residents’ needs through supervising a team of roadway specialists, managing emergency situations, and monitoring progress towards goals and objectives to meet the department’s priorities. Your work will directly impact the citizens of Maricopa County by solving problems, mitigating issues, and finding solutions to extend the life of our transportation assets. You will have direct interaction with internal and external customers, including employees, residents, and other agencies.

Exerting 20 - 25 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly. The work will occur in an office and field environment. While performing the duties and responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations. Position is subject to atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
