Job summary

EDF power solutions is seeking an O&M Manager for Solar, Storage and Private Wire assets in the UK. You will lead day-to-day operations, manage contractor relationships and drive safety and performance improvements across a growing renewable portfolio.

Qualifications

• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and strong HSE knowledge
• Degree in engineering or related discipline, or significant equivalent experience
• Proven experience in operation and maintenance of renewable assets
• Experience with High Voltage and Low Voltage procedures and safety rules
• Experience managing contracts, operational budgets and cost control
• Experience leading teams and performance management
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the UK

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with O&M providers, contractors, OEMs and network operators

The Opportunity

As O&M Manager Solar, Storage and Private Wire, youll lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a growing renewable energy portfolio. Youll work closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure high standards of health and safety and operational performance and compliance across our solar, storage and private wire assets. Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this is a hybrid role with flexible home working. youll be expected to travel across the UK & Ireland to attend events and support EDF power solutions assets as required, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across locations including #Durham, #London, #Edinburgh and #Cardiff. Youll have the opportunity to set long-term operational strategy, drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage significant operational budgets, and support the growth of one of the UK and Irelands most diverse renewable energy portfolios. Who You Are

We're looking for an O&M Manager with strong experience in renewable energy. Youll be a confident leader, capable of managing operational risks, contractor performance and technical teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

• An IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, with a strong understanding of HSE legislation and industry standards
• A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or significant equivalent experience, alongside a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Proven experience in operation and maintenance, including delivering operational performance improvements
• Experience in High Voltage and Low Voltage operating procedures and safety rules, or equivalent industry standards
• Experience managing contracts, operational budgets and cost control activities
• Experience leading teams, including setting objectives and managing performance
• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout the UK as required
