Compensation Grade

The Operations Maintenance Coordinator – PZ is responsible for managing and coordinating maintenance activities and operational interfaces within an assigned unit or area. This includes day-to-day maintenance, emergent issues, and planned and unplanned outages. The role ensures that maintenance processes—identification, planning, scheduling, and execution—are effectively implemented and aligned with operational priorities. The position plays a key role in delivering safe, compliant, and reliable operations by supporting high asset availability and continuous improvement in maintenance execution.

Accountability 1: Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE)

Comply with and actively promote the INEOS Life Saving Rules, the INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety, and all site SHE requirements. Ensure all maintenance activities are planned and executed in compliance with site environmental compliance requirements (reporting, LDAR repair timing, etc.). Manages asset compliance with process safety and personnel safety inspections and testing completed by asset maintenance resources (interlock instrument calibrations, turbine overspeeds, relief valve testing, etc.). Be a safety leader through visible leadership in the field, including safety observation conversations, audits, and near miss reporting. Adhere to the SHE incident management system established for the site including participation in reporting, incident investigations, sharing of lessons learned, corrective action tracking and personnel training. Knowledgeable of the specific process and maintenance execution hazards within the unit to be able to plan work and communicate those hazards to execution forces. Verifies clear understanding of work scope, carefully reviews the type of work and potential safety or process reliability hazards. Takes appropriate action to initiate proper safety reviews (e.g., temporary job plan, confined space, hot work, etc.) when reviewing the work scope.

Accountability 2: Maintenance Planning, Scheduling & Execution

Coordinate the full maintenance workflow including identification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Lead daily and weekly planning and scheduling meetings to align maintenance execution with operational priorities and resource availability. Ensure maintenance work scopes are clearly defined, technically sound, and aligned with best practices and manufacturer recommendations. Drive schedule compliance by coordinating resources, removing execution barriers, and monitoring progress against plan. Ensure all maintenance procedures are followed and work is executed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Coordinate execution of maintenance activities during routine operations as well as planned shutdowns and unplanned outages. Support development of job plans and work packages to enable efficient execution by maintenance teams.

Accountability 3: Operational Coordination & Interface Management

Serve as the primary interface between operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to ensure clear alignment on maintenance priorities and execution plans. Maintain continuous communication with Operations to ensure equipment preparation, isolation, and handover processes are completed in accordance with schedule. Coordinate small-scale maintenance and project activities within the unit, ensuring alignment with production requirements. Interface with Asset Support, Engineering, and Planning functions to scope, schedule, and execute more complex maintenance activities. Communicate schedule changes, constraints, and priority shifts to all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner. Coordinate with SHE teams to ensure safety and environmental considerations are integrated into maintenance plans. Monitor unit conditions and daily logs to proactively identify emerging maintenance needs and adjust priorities accordingly.

Accountability 4: Work Management & Prioritization

Manage work orders within SAP from initiation through execution and completion, ensuring data accuracy and proper documentation. Evaluate and prioritize competing maintenance requests based on safety, reliability, and production impact. Create and manage work notifications for maintenance activities not generated through routine processes. Allocate resources effectively across maintenance activities, balancing planned work, backlog reduction, and emergent issues. Monitor and manage maintenance backlog to ensure timely execution of critical work and alignment with site targets. Ensure execution teams clearly understand work priorities, scope, and expectations for both scheduled and break-in work. Continuously review and optimize maintenance workflow processes to improve efficiency and execution discipline. Acts as a field representative and point of contact for outside vendors working in the asset. This includes performing field safety orientations and regular field visits while the work is being performed. Monitor Daily Logbook and communicate with Asset Manager / Process / Reliability Engineers at beginning of day to determine current maintenance needs.

Accountability 5: Asset Reliability & Continuous Improvement

Support mechanical integrity and asset care programs by ensuring inspection, testing, and maintenance activities are completed on time. Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities (e.g., lubrication, vibration monitoring, calibrations) to sustain equipment reliability. Troubleshoot equipment failures and underperformance to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Partner with engineering and reliability teams to improve maintenance strategies and eliminate recurring issues. Contribute to development and execution of outage and turnaround (TAR) plans, including scope definition, scheduling, and execution support. Identify opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness, reduce downtime, and extend asset life. Ensure adherence to asset care standards and continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance processes. Supports asset integrity management systems: Scheduling and planning of Preventative Maintenance (PMs) Review PM plans to ensure proper scope in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and best engineering/maintenance practices Monitor status of mechanical integrity programs for the asset and coordinate work notifications as required to support these programs and ensure completion prior to due date. This may include but is not limited to: Relief device testing and inspections Pressure vessel and tank inspections Completion of mechanical integrity inspection recommendations Safety and environmental instrument calibration and testing Routine preventative and predictive maintenance tasks (e.g., lubrication, vibration, filter changes, etc.). Turbine over-speed testing and verification Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) compliance Railroad track inspections Dock hose regulatory testing

Accountability 6: Cost Control & Performance Management

Support delivery of maintenance activities within budget constraints while ensuring safety and reliability are not compromised. Coordinate with Procurement to source materials, parts, and contractor services in a cost-effective and timely manner. Evaluate maintenance spend and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and execution effectiveness. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including schedule compliance, PM completion, backlog levels, and reliability performance. Provide input into maintenance budgets, outage planning costs, and forecast adjustments as needed. Ensure maintenance work is executed in a manner that balances cost, quality, and long-term equipment reliability. Drive continuous improvement in maintenance cost performance in collaboration with site leadership.

Required profile: Level of Education & Knowledge

8+ years of maintenance or operations related experience in a petrochemical manufacturing facility. 18 Years of Age with a High School diploma or GED; technical or related education preferred. Must possess or obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to first day of employment. Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
