Job summary

Corinth is seeking an experienced Operations IT Specialist to support a DoD client. The role is remote, full-time, exempt, with a salary range of $103,000–$116,000 per year and U.S. citizenship required.

Ideal candidates will hold DoD CAC/PIV credentials, DoD 8570 IAT II certs, an associate degree or higher, and 10+ years COBOL experience within large-scale environments. Strong deployment, monitoring, and audit-ready documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • CAC/PIV credential held within past 2 years or equivalent, backed by Tier 3+ investigation.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications (CCNA-Security, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH).
  • Associate degree or higher required.
  • 10+ years experience with COBOL in enterprise systems.
  • Experience in large-scale IT operations, deployments, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with mainframe job scheduling and operational monitoring.
  • Experience following structured deployment/configuration management protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting and log-analysis skills for incidents.
  • Experience SIT/SAT in deployment cycles and audit-ready documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support system operations to keep client systems stable and available.
  • Execute and validate deployment procedures and configuration management standards.
  • Track and troubleshoot batch cycles, JCL execution, and workflows; escalate as needed.
  • Maintain deployment docs, checklists, and after-action reports for each cycle.
  • Respond to outages and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and system patches across environments.
  • Coordinate installation and patching activities in production environments.

Position Overview

Corinth is seeking an experienced Operations IT Specialist to support our Department of Defense (DoD) client.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Must currently hold, or have held within the past 2 years, an active DoD Common Access Card (CAC); equivalent PIV credentials from other federal agencies are accepted provided they are backed by a final, favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (or higher) investigation.
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (CCNA-Security, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH).
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • 10+ years experience working with COBOL programs integrated into enterprise systems.
  • Experience in system operations, deployments, and maintenance in large-scale IT environments.
  • Familiarity with mainframe job scheduling and operational monitoring practices.
  • Experience adhering to structured deployment and configuration management protocols.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting operational and deployment-related incidents, escalating issues as required.
  • Proficiency with system monitoring tools and log analysis for error detection and resolution.
  • Experience supporting System Integration Testing (SIT) and System Acceptance Testing (SAT) in deployment cycles
  • Strong organizational skills supporting audit-ready documentation practices.
Key Responsibilities
