Job summary

Avancez Assembly is seeking an Operations Intern at our Lansing location to support daily manufacturing activities and process improvements. You will help ensure quality policy adherence, participate in training efforts, and assist with audits and staffing coordination.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a related Bachelor's degree with a 3.0+ GPA and strong MS Office skills. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and collaborative problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Previous work experience preferred.
• Highly experienced in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Help facilitate team member training, including onboarding and on the job training.
• Adhere to Quality philosophies and policies.
• Audit compliance to the versatility matrix and direct labor performance evaluations.
• Actively participate in daily 5S activities.
• Drive safety culture and promote safety as a personal value.
• Comply with all policies and regulations.
• Assist with audit processes to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Validate daily operational documents.
• Participate in engagement and staffing/scheduling activities.
• Collaborate with all departments within the facility.

Operations Intern

Job Summary

We have an opportunity for an Operations Intern at our Lansing location!

Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company’s quality policies, values and philosophies.
• Help facilitate team member training, including but not limited to onboarding, on the job training, creating and modifying content.
• Adhere to Quality philosophies and policies.
• Audit compliance to the versatility matrix, direct labor performance evaluations, etc.
• Actively participate in daily 5S activities.
• Drive safety culture and promote safety as a personal value.
• Comply with all national, local, and Company policies and regulations.
• Assist with audit processes to identify gaps in policies and procedures and implement corrective actions for any nonconformities (PVS, SOT, 5S)
• Validate daily operational documents.
• Participate in engagement activities.
• Actively participate in staffing and scheduling activities.
• Be a collaborative partner and actively communicate with all departments within the facility.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of one year or equivalent in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Business Management, or related field
• Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Previous work experience preferred
• Highly experienced in Microsoft Office suite
