Responsibilities

Key Risk's internship program immerses you in workers' compensation insurance business, provides you with the opportunity to showcase and hone your skills, enhances your business knowledge and professional growth, encourages networking and offers assignments/projects in specific areas of study.

Key Risk seeks creative, curious, innovative and entrepreneurial candidates for its internship and development program. The Operations Intern will work hand-in-hand with the company’s leaders across insurance operations. Key functions will include but are not limited to:

Key Risk Experience

The program was developed to provide interns with a valuable, rewarding experience that connects the knowledge from academics with the reality of today’s insurance careers. Interns then receive training about Key Risk's products, distribution channel and company-specific business processes that will lay the groundwork for an intern's comprehensive learning experience. Technical training along with access to work special projects specific to our Operations departments will be a key experience of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage policy renewal documentation to support underwriting teams, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established timelines.
• Review renewal accounts and update policy information, exposure data, client details, and supporting documentation within underwriting systems.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of risk analysis documentation by compiling loss history, exposure information, risk characteristics, and other supporting data for underwriter review.
• Process routine and simple policy endorsements, including address changes, name corrections, coverage modifications, and other low-complexity policy transactions.
• Review endorsement requests for completeness and ensure policy changes are accurately documented and processed within service level expectations.
• Assist with reporting, data validation, and operational projects aimed at improving underwriting efficiency and service quality.

Additional Experience

The Key Risk internship program will include social activities aimed at building strong networking relationships with fellow interns and Key Risk staff. Activities may include management sessions, team-building, and volunteer/community service opportunities.
