Job summary

ENFRA Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks a student intern to gain hands-on experience in mechanical installations for hospitals, hotels, and institutional facilities. You will support project teams, collect data, prepare reports, and participate in meetings to learn the company’s processes.

The role emphasizes learning opportunities, safety, on-site work, and collaboration with multiple departments. This internship offers practical exposure to estimating, documentation, and project operations.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related major.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work daily.
  • Ability to be punctual and bring a positive attitude.
  • Must take initiative and deliver quality work with a sense of urgency.
  • Capable of working independently with daily supervision.
  • Must respect tools, equipment and safety procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask on fast-paced projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create a master checklist of expectations and goals for the internship and use it for evaluation.
  • Assist departments and teams with project tasks, estimating, or business operations.
  • Participate in special tasks and learn from various resources to complete projects.
  • Collect information, create and update files, documents, spreadsheets, databases, reports and schedules.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
  • Attend departmental and jobsite meetings.
  • Perform tasks under supervision of an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or staff.
  • Participate in orientations, lunch & learns, jobsite tours, safety inspections, etc.
  • Study meeting notes, policies and procedures to learn the company way.
  • Attend exit interviews and provide feedback on the experience.

Overview

The Intern is a student with an interest in mechanical installations for hospitals, hotels and institutional facilities, who works during the internship to further education and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Creates a master checklist of expectations and goals to use as a guide throughout the internship and then used as an evaluation at completion.
  • Assists the departments and team with all aspects of the projects and estimating or business operations.
  • Participates in special tasks/projects and work with team and various resources to complete.
  • Assists by collecting information, creating and updating files, documents, spreadsheets, databases, reports and schedules.
  • Prepares reports and presentations as needed.
  • Attends departmental and jobsite meetings.
  • Performs tasks under the supervision of an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or departmental staff.
  • Participates in any learning experiences offered such as orientations, lunch & learns, outings, jobsite tours, safety inspections, etc.
  • Studies meeting notes, policies and procedures to learn the company way.
  • Attends the exit interview, providing feedback on the experience.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related business major with a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work daily.
  • Ability to be punctual.
  • Must have a great attitude towards work and others.
  • Must be able to take initiative, provide quality work with a sense of urgency and reasonable productivity.
  • Must be able to work independently to complete tasks with daily supervision.
  • Must have respect for tools, equipment, supplies and be safety conscious.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

  • 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
