Codale Electric Supply, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks an Operations Improvement Associate to support day-to-day continuous improvement across the business. You will monitor queues, resolve transaction issues, and maintain inventory and data in warehouse systems while supporting standardized processes, reporting, and training.

You will collaborate with branches, Sales, Finance, Shared Services, customers, and IT to drive improvements, complete billing and admin tasks, and escalate

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in operations, warehouse, inventory control, billing or related process-support role.
• Experience researching transaction issues, validating data, and ERP/warehouse systems preferred.
• Experience creating process documentation or user training is a plus.

Main purpose of the job

The Operations Improvement Associate supports day-to-day continuous improvement and operational excellence activities across the business. The role monitors operational queues, researches and resolves transaction exceptions, maintains inventory and warehouse system data, supports standardized processes, reporting, documentation, and training, and completes assigned billing and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities

This role works with branches, warehouses, Sales, Finance, Shared Services, customers, vendors, carriers, and IT to research and resolve operational issues, keep critical processes moving, and improve consistency. The Associate completes assigned queue, transaction, inventory, warehouse-system, returns, access, billing, documentation, reporting, and training activities; identifies recurring issues and improvement opportunities; supports implementation of practical solutions; and escalates complex or systemic concerns.

Minimum work experience requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in operations, warehouse, inventory control, billing, customer service, or a related process-support role preferred.
• Experience researching transaction issues, validating data, and working in an ERP or warehouse system preferred.
• Experience creating process documentation or delivering user training is a plus.

Minimum education requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement methods such as 5S, PDCA, or root-cause analysis preferred.

• Strong analytical, research, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, documentation, and auditability
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
• Ability to organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on open items
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Warehouse, Sales, Finance, Shared Services, vendors, carriers, and IT
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications; ability to learn ERP, warehouse, freight, and customer portal systems
• Customer-service mindset and sound judgment regarding when to resolve, escape, or redirect an issue
