Job summary

Central Valley Ag is seeking an Operations Non-DOT employee in Hinton, IA, to support receiving, shipping and handling grain and agronomy products. You will help unload trucks, assist in loading products, and maintain inventory while promoting safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include scheduling, mixing and loading fertilizer and chemicals, monitoring grain quality, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring paperwork accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Unload grain from company-owned and customer trucks.
• Assist in loading agronomy products to customer trucks.
• Receive dry and liquid fertilizer, chemicals, and seed.
• Support operations of liquid and dry plant.
• Schedule, mix and load fertilizer and chemicals.
• Assist with accurate mixing and blender operations.
• Support train loads going out.
• Monitor and maintain grain quality and inventory.
• Maintain inventory levels and report to supervisor.
• Assist scale operations and related paperwork.
• Perform general maintenance of facilities, equipment and vehicles.
• Ensure paperwork is accurate and timely; maintain housekeeping.
• Assist other divisions as needed and promote a safe work environment.

PURPOSE

As an Operations Non-DOT employee at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for assisting in receiving, shipping and handling grain and agronomy products and to perform preventative maintenance and cleaning as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helps with unloading of grain products for company owned and customer ownedtrucks.
• Assists in the loading of agronomy products to customer trucks.
• Assists in the receiving of dry/liquid fertilizer, chemicals and seed.
• Provides assistance in the operations of the liquid and dry plant.
• Provides assistance in the scheduling, mixing and loading of liquid/dry fertilizer and chemicals.
• Helps in ensuring the accuracy of mixing chemicals and fertilizers and assists with blender operations.
• Assists with the train loads going out.
• Assists in monitoring and maintaining grain quality.
• Conducts and helps manage grain and agronomy inventory.
• Monitors and keeps supervisor apprised of inventory levels.
• Assists with scale operations.
• Performs general maintenance of buildings, equipment and vehicles, includingnecessary documentation.
• Assists in ensuring that paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Responsible for housekeeping duties.
• Assists other divisions and locations as needed.
• Maintains and promotes a safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
