Job summary

Clayco is seeking an Operations Executive to oversee design‑build projects, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery with the highest quality standards.

You will mentor Project Managers and Engineers, manage costs, and lead procurement and subcontractor relations while maintaining safety and compliance across nationwide projects. This fast-paced role requires leadership and strategic execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 20–25 years of experience in construction project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles and practices with a proven track record managing large projects.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with mentoring experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability with diverse stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in leading project teams, managing subcontracts, and subcontractor relations.
• Familiarity with safety protocols, EEO requirements, and quality control standards.
• Ability to navigate job sites physically (climbing ladders, multi-floor scaffolding) and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment; manage subcontractor buyouts.
• Oversee bidding with Preconstruction services and ensure safety compliance.
• Lead safety, quality control, and training programs.
• Manage project closeout and final deliverables.
• Assist in tracking back charges and budget adjustments.

The Role We Want You For

As an Operations Executive, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the successful execution of design‑build projects. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, project teams, and design departments, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with marketing, pre‑construction services, business unit leaders, and operations to manage project phases including scheduling, subcontractor buyout, cost control, and project closeout. Additionally, you will mentor and manage Project Managers and Engineers, ensuring team success and project excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a large‑scale project 500M‑1B in value, or multiple projects.
• Serve as the single point of contact for clients, design teams, and project staff, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
• Lead and coordinate project phases from planning to closeout, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Requirements
