The J.M. Smucker Co. invites you to join the Summer 2027 Operations Engineering Internship in New Orleans.

You will work with plant technicians and engineers to learn manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and manage projects from scope through verification. On-site, 100% in-person, this role offers a compensation range of $22.00–$27.00 per hour plus a housing stipend. You will document results, prepare standard reports, and collaborate with hourly and salaried staff to

Your Opportunity as an Operations Engineering Intern

As an intern within Operations Engineering, you will work with operating technicians and salaried employees to collect data and learn the manufacturing process to create process improvement opportunities, complete and manage projects, and effectively document and communicate results.

Work Arrangements:

In This Role You Will

What We Are Looking For

• A rising sophomore, junior, or senior standing in school with requisite educational experience in engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering is preferred.
• A well-rounded skill set including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Must be able to work in both an office and plant environment and comply with all safety procedures
