Gulfstream Aerospace seeks an Operations Engineer II in Savannah to support manufacturing process optimization, lead RCCA analysis, and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives on the shop floor.
You will prepare work instructions, assess tooling and equipment needs, coordinate engineering changes, and mentor OE I if needed while collaborating across functions to improve quality, efficiency and safety.
Demonstrated success conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions. Experience defining and executing process optimization projects resulting in cost and cycle time reductions and/or product quality enhancements.
Manufacturing floor support, discrepancy rework planning, and engineering planning experience preferred.
Catia V5, SmarTeam, SAP, and Solumina experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related curriculum required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 18 months Manufacturing Engineering, planning, or related technical experience. Must be knowledgeable about Engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math. Position Purpose:Work/Lead independently to prepare, conduct, and evaluate analyses for operations process optimization and problem solving for manufacturing issues (production methods and procedures) for a specific production process (including production sequence/flow, tooling and production equipment, layout, material fabrication, assembly methods and planning).
