Job summary

BioSqueeze, Inc. is seeking a mechanically oriented Operations Field Technician to lead or assist operations engineers and field teams at remote oil and gas locations.

You will pump specialized biomineralization fluids and support process improvements while ensuring safety and equipment reliability. Responsibilities include leading field teams, troubleshooting field equipment, and coordinating with engineers, with extensive travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years field ops/engineering in Oil & Gas, remote locations with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead teams with minimal outside help.
  • Clean driving record; able to operate CDL and non-CDL trucks and trailers.
  • Experience with production, P&A, completions engineering.
  • Familiarity with wellwork, rigs, wellheads, BOPs, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead/assist operations at remote customer sites and field teams.
  • Operate and troubleshoot field equipment, report issues, and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and mechanics to keep equipment running.
  • Travel extensively to customer sites and maintain safety standards.
  • Generate post-job reports and lessons learned.

Job description

BioSqueeze, Inc. is an innovative biotechnology company located in the beautiful state of Montana. Our primary product is BioSqueeze® which is our novel well sealing technology used to solve annular gas and wellbore integrity issues in the oil and gas industry. Our company is well funded and growing rapidly.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, mechanically oriented Operations Field Technician to lead or assist operations engineers and field teams operating our equipment to pump specialized biomineralization fluids to mitigate annular gas issues on oil and gas wells using our proprietary process. Support on process/design improvements.

  • Become expert with the equipment, controls, and operation of our current microbial growth system, our field pumping system, our process control system, and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with field equipment. Come up with creative solutions with limited resources.
  • Contribute to design of new processes and equipment.
  • Extensive travel.
  • Lead the team at remote customer sites, working with the customer & crew to properly perform the job.
  • Work closely with engineers, mechanics, and other staff to keep equipment operational at field locations.
  • Communicate effectively with customer representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Represent the company’s values and commitment of excellence to the customer. Perform work safely and responsibly.
  • Generate post job reports, lookbacks, and lessons learned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • CDL or ability to obtain one.
  • At least 3 years applicable field operations and/or engineering experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, working in remote locations with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead others to get the job done with minimal outside help.
  • Ability to drive trucks (F350-F650 equivalent) pulling trailers.
  • Extensive travel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including operation of automated systems and adjusting control parameters to improve process characteristics based upon incoming data and data trends.
  • Clean driving record and the ability to assist the team getting equipment (Both CDL and non-CDL trucks and trailers) to the customer sites.
  • Experience in production, P&A, and completions engineering.
  • Knowledge of wellwork, rigs, wellheads, BOP’s, and associated best safety practices.
  • Familiarity with cased hole log analysis (open hole a plus).
  • Experience with operating, overseeing, and maintaining process equipment, especially mechanical systems, electrical systems, and process control systems.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose issues with field equipment. Ability to work with technicians, mechanics, and other staff to keep equipment operational at field sites.
  • Experience with process instrumentation and control logic. Experience with control systems.
  • Experience with gas monitors
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screening tests, both initially and periodically as well as maintain an active driver’s license as ongoing conditions of employment.
