Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must hold or obtain Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Restriction Removed, OR you can obtain your B CDL at no cost to you, AND we pay you while you train!
• Must be able to pass all required background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must demonstrate a commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students, school groups, athletic teams, community organizations, and charter customers to and from their destinations.
• Drive for field trips, extracurricular activities, sporting events, charter services, amusement parks, concerts, and other special events.
• Daily home-to-school transportation is not required for this position.
• Coaches, advisors, teachers, or chaperones accompany student groups on trips.
• Drivers are asked to be available at least three (3) days per school week.
• Athletic trips typically depart after 1:00 PM and return in the evening.
• Charter assignments may include daytime, evening, weekday, and occasional weekend opportunities.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing Rohrer Bus in a professional manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain safe operating procedures at all times.

Rohrer Bus is seeking dependable and customer-focused drivers to provide transportation for school trips, athletic events, extracurricular activities, charter groups, and popular destinations such as Hersheypark and other regional attractions. This position is perfect for individuals looking for flexible, part-time driving opportunities without the commitment of a daily school route.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE OPERATIONS / CHARTER DRIVER

• Safely transport students, school groups, athletic teams, community organizations, and charter customers to and from their destinations.
• Drive for field trips, extracurricular activities, sporting events, charter services, amusement parks (Hersheypark/shuttle service) concerts, and other special events.
• Daily home-to-school transportation is not required for this position.
• Coaches, advisors, teachers, or chaperones accompany student groups on trips.
• Drivers are asked to be available at least three (3) days per school week.
• Athletic trips typically depart after 1:00 PM and return in the evening.
• Class and educational trips are common during the spring and may last a full day.
• Charter assignments may include daytime, evening, weekday, and occasional weekend opportunities.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing Rohrer Bus in a professional manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain safe operating procedures at all times.
