Job description

About Us

At Prenuvo, we are on a mission to flip the paradigm from reactive "sick-care" to proactive health care. Our award-winning whole body scan is fast (under 1 hour), safe (MRI has no ionizing radiation), and non-invasive (no contrast). Our unique integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and increasingly AI, coupled with the patient-centric experience across our domestic and global clinics, have allowed us to lead the change against "we caught it too late again".

We're looking for an Operations Director to own the day-to-day operations of our biomarker programs. You'll build and run the processes that take a sample from collection through lab processing, results, and storage, working across clinical, lab, vendor, and internal teams to make sure everything runs smoothly and meets quality and compliance standards. This is a permanent, remote, role with long-term ownership of these programs, both during launch and as they grow.

This role does not provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa (current or future).

Help reshape the world through proactive healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and high performing teams with deep expertise - join us to make a difference in people's lives!

What You'll Do
  • Own the operating model and multi-year roadmap for Prenuvo's biomarker programs, from sample collection through results and storage, and be accountable for operational performance, quality, and compliance.
  • Establish the SOP and quality framework for sample collection, chain of custody, storage, and tracking, and set the standards others execute against.
  • Manage relationships with external labs, logistics providers, and other vendors, including performance tracking, issue resolution, and contract compliance.
  • Advise executive leadership on expansion sequencing, lab partner strategy, and operational investment; represent biomarker operations in company planning.
  • Define and monitor operational KPIs such as turnaround time, sample quality, collection success rates, and cost per sample, and act on what the data shows.
  • Serve as the accountable operations owner for regulatory readiness, including owning corrective action plans.
  • Identify operational risks early and drive solutions before they affect members or timelines.
  • Scale the programs across Prenuvo's current US sites and to new sites as we expand, while holding to defined quality standards: sample integrity, consistent turnaround times, full regulatory compliance, and a smooth, reliable member experience.
  • As volume scales, lead a team of services coordinators, overseeing their workflows and ensuring alignment to your set strategy.
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of operations experience in a clinical lab, genetics, diagnostics, biobanking, or clinical research setting.
  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences, clinical laboratory science, business operations, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of sample collection and biospecimen workflows (blood, saliva, or similar), including chain of custody, storage, and shipping requirements.
  • Familiarity with genetic testing processes and the lab lifecycle from accessioning to results reporting.
  • Experience managing external lab and vendor relationships.
  • Experience launching a new clinical or lab program.
  • Deep expertise with relevant regulatory frameworks, such as CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA.
  • A strong track record of building processes from the ground up and scaling them.
  • Comfort with data, using metrics to spot issues and drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
Nice to Have
  • Background in LIMS or sample tracking systems.
  • Experience in a consumer‑facing or direct‑to‑consumer health company.
