Job summary

BCore seeks an Operations DevOps Team Lead to support the NGA mission from Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO. Lead an agile team focused on system sustainment, automation, and security in a multi-environment setup.

You will collaborate with government customers to drive CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD) and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift, with IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Agile/SAFe environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage users and government customers.
• Knowledge of containerization, monitoring, logging, networking, and security.
• Experience with geospatial system operations is a plus.
• CISSP or CISM certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with configuration/change management processes.
• Experience with integrated software delivery, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD) and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Ability to automate tasks using Python or Bash.

• Collaborate with users and government customers to gather requirements and communicate status.
• Perform system administration, troubleshooting, testing, and security operations.
• Maintain operational documentation (SOPs, SLAs, system guides).
• Receive code from development teams and complete builds, hardening, and deployment automation.
• Support and enhance CI/CD deployment workflows and security scans.
• Manage PKI certificates, system configurations, and compliance.
• Develop Helm charts for OpenShift deployments and practice IaC.

• Lead and mentor an Operations/DevOps team supporting multi-environment system sustainment, administration, maintenance, and user support.
• Prioritize and distribute work across the team, ensuring timely issue resolution and operational excellence.
• Collaborate directly with users and government customers to understand requirements, communicate system status, and ensure mission outcomes.
• Perform system administration, troubleshooting, testing, and security operations.
• Maintain and update operational documentation including SOPs, SLAs, and system guides.
• Receive code from development teams and complete system builds, hardening, configuration, and deployment automation.
• Support and enhance CI/CD deployment workflows and security scans.
• Manage PKI certificates, system configurations, and operational compliance.
• Develop Helm charts for OpenShift deployments and support Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Design and monitor user and system metrics to ensure performance, reliability, and readiness across all environments. Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly Certification Required: Minimum of IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent) with IAT Level III certification preferred Education/Experience: * Requires Bachelor’s degree in IT or STEM field

Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
