Job summary

Continental Battery Systems in Batavia, NY is seeking a Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate 1 (DDWA1X). You will safely drive a class B or C vehicle (non-CDL) to deliver and pick up batteries, support customer purchases, and replenish consignments.

This role blends driving with warehouse tasks and requires attention to safety, accuracy, and customer service. As part of a team focused on reliability and efficiency, you will handle shipments, perform inventory counts, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3.0 GPA preferred.
• MVR with little to no safety concerns within the past 3 years.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Previous delivery or warehouse experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of courteous and safe driving procedures (including forklift).

Responsibilities

• Deliver product and pick up used batteries, and replenish consignments for customers.
• Perform deliveries in a vehicle over 10,001lbs GVWR.
• Assist retail customers and perform battery installations.
• Load and unload vehicles, prepare shipments, keep the warehouse orderly and safe.
• Perform battery charging and reconditioning.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and full counts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all customer transactions.

Job Details

• Job Title: Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate 1 - Class X (DDWA1X)
• Location: Batavia, NY
• Pay Rate: $27/hr (Sign-on Bonus Included!)
• Classification: Full-Time/Part-Time, Regular/Temp, Non-Exempt Exclusively
• Normal Hours: Commonly an 8-hour shift scheduled between 7 AM and 6 PM, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends

General Description

A person in this position is responsible to safely drive a class B or C vehicle, not requiring a CDL, to regularly perform deliveries to support customer purchases and improved relationship. This process may include managing and replenishing consignments, recovering used batteries, and performing customer installations. Additionally, this role includes performing warehouse tasks associated with shipping, receiving, labeling, loading, inventory control, reconditioning used batteries, and battery maintenance. You may perform deliveries requiring DOT HOS records and medical clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver product and pick up used batteries, as well as maintain and replenishes consignment products for customers.
• Perform deliveries in a regulated vehicle of over 10,001lbs GVWR.
• Assist retail customers and perform battery installations.
• Loads and offloads vehicles, prepares shipments, ensures warehouse is orderly, safe, and clean.
• Performs battery charging and reconditioning.
• Performs inventory cycle counts and complete counts.
• Maintains accurate documentation of all customer transactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3.0 or higher GPA preferred.
• MVR with little to no safety concerns within the past 3 years.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Previous delivery or warehouse experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of courteous and safe driving procedures (including forklift), methods, and techniques in multiple vehicle types.

Physical Requirements

• This is primarily a non-stationary position working in a non-temperature-controlled environment with extended periods of time spent in diverse positions due to diverse nature of customer facilities.
• Standing and walking is required to interface with customers, gain access to their buildings, which may require the use of stairs and/or moving through uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Employees in this job occasionally carry product weighing up to 125 lbs. Participation in group lifts for heavier weight is required.
• Employee may push pallets (using a pallet jack) or push wheeled carts with product weighing over 3,000 lbs.
