Job summary

Privia Health is seeking an Operations Consultant II to manage a portfolio of independent physician practices across a multi-specialty group in the Austin market and beyond. This role requires frequent travel to support our Gulf Coast operations and drive performance improvements.

You will partner with practices to grow revenue, optimize workflows, and transition from Fee-For-Service to Value Based Care while delivering exceptional client service and coordinating with Privia initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; healthcare MBA highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience with physicians and medical group staff.
  • Experience with health systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and own a portfolio of independent physician practices across a multi-specialty medical group.
  • Drive growth and improvement, develop plans and manage client relationships to meet market goals.
  • Draft and implement action plans to improve physician practices' revenue.
  • Create transparency with practices about their financial performance to drive change.
  • Track metrics related to finance, revenue cycle, productivity, and patient experience.
  • Re-engineer workflow to streamline patient throughput and back-office efficiency.
  • Mentor and coach practice administrators in management of their physician practice.
  • Support transition to Value Based Care and rollout Privia initiatives.
  • Provide top-notch customer service to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Travel across assigned territory regularly (70%).

The Operations Consultant II manages a portfolio of clinically integrated multi-specialty practices and is
accountable for driving overall performance results.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Manage and own a portfolio of independent physician practicesacrossa multi-specialty medical group
  • Drive growth and improvement to portfolio of physician practices. Develop Growth plans and manage client relationships to meet care center and market goals.
  • Draft and implement action plans to improve and grow physician practices’ overall revenue
  • Create transparency with practices about their financial performance (or lack thereof), in order to drive change
  • Track and manage metrics and goals related to finance, revenue cycle, productivity, clinical performance, and customer experience
  • Re-engineer the practice workflow to streamline patient throughput and efficiencyand/or create efficiency in back office workflows
  • Mentor and coach practice administrators, in the management of their physician practice
  • Facilitate the transition of the physician practice from Fee-For-Service to the future Value Based Care world of healthcare reimbursement
  • Roll out and communicate new Privia initiatives
  • Effective leader with a sharp eye for constructive criticism in the physician practice
  • Strategic thinker who assesses situations carefully and delivers scalable recommendations and results
  • Professional presenter of relevant health care topics
  • Become an expert in AthenaHealth’s Performance Management System and EHR
  • Provide top-notch customer service to physician practices to ensure issues are resolved and clients are satisfied
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable accreditation, statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Provide oversight, coaching and mentoring to assigned performance associates
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel throughout assigned territory on a regular basis (70%)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Healthcare Master’s or MBA highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience required, particularly working with physicians and medical group staff
  • Experience working with a health system preferred
  • Quantitatively and financially proficient; must know how to read, interpret and explain financial data
  • Comfort in functioning independently and autonomously and can effectively build a case to effect change. Demonstrates the judgment to appropriately elevate situations as necessary.
  • Project management experience, juggling multiple projects and urgent deliverables while providing exceptional client service
  • General understanding of Population Health Management and how it applies to risk-based contracts
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

  • Able to have honest, difficult conversations with doctors about financial performance and areas of improvement
  • Extremely bright and analytical. Turns the unknown into knowledge in short order.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with providers, management, clients and staff, in order to get buy-in to decisions
  • Expresses ideas clearly and effectively, motivates the listener to action
  • Responds calmly and maturely in high pressure situations
  • Positive attitude toward company, work, clients, management, and team members
  • Uses a customer-focused approach in dealing with conflict and resolution of problems

The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $115,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs).This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% & restricted stock units.The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
