RR Donnelley is looking to add an Operations Clerk 3 (Expeditor Coordinator) to our Logan, UT Operations!

POSITION SUMMARY: The Expeditor Coordinator for Inserting provides support for Production Supervision by preparing orders using EPIC and Infoshare for all Inserting equipment. They expedite work between various processes and within the department, as well as keep the machines stocked with mail supplies to improve productivity and ensure on-time delivery. They perform verification processes for Customer-specific jobs on Inserting machine computers.

  • Adjusts manufacturing orders and processes under supervision, using information from manufacturing specifications and department schedules to improve workflow and ensure accuracy. Maintains accuracy in ordering inventory.
  • Assists Supervision and Inserter Operators with workflow management, reversing product when needed, creating copies of manufacturing specifications, and gathering necessary materials (statements, trays, tray tags, etc.) to prepare for run time. Ensures only current job materials are in the Inserting area, removing all others.
  • Organizes and prepares the workbook for delivery to the next process, verifying and accounting for all non-mailables, pulls, and confirming job, copy, or batch completion.
  • Coordinates handling and expediting of non-mailable pieces (samples, specials, invalids, no-mails, foreigns, damaged pieces) to the next process, using manufacturing specifications to reduce cycle time and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Performs verification processes for Customer-specific jobs on the Inserting machine computer, including opening/closing files, reading feeder setup, and other functions.
  • Organizes and expedites finished products from off-line machines, ensuring proper preparation for the next process. Performs quality checks for proper labeling and separation of copies and batches according to Work Instructions.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

OTHER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learns responsibilities of the Shift Coordinator 2 (PC-Production Coordinator) to provide backup when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum six months related experience in the print and mail industry.
  • Knowledge of Inserter machine computer functions, including file management and feeder setup.
  • Previous experience as an Inserter Operator preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Windows 10, and Google Sheets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus.
  • Superior prioritization and organizational skills, maintaining a clean environment per 5S standards.
  • Attention to detail, maintaining accuracy in inventory and staging.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with changing workflows.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn and train as a backup Shift Coordinator.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions, decimals.

Starting wage: $18.54/hr

Available shift:

New B Shift - Tues - Friday, 5:00 pm - 3:00 am

$1.25/hr shift differential for this shift.

The pay range is $18.54 to $25.97 per hour, depending on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. Compensation may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, tuition assistance, parental leave, adoption support, and discounts.
