Operations Care Center Manager
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Operations Care Center Manager oversees day‑to‑day operations and leads the team at the Care Center, ensuring compliance, safety, quality, and profitability.
Compensation & Location: $70,000–$75,000 per year with a 40‑hour work week, typical Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. Locations: Trusted Journey Pet Memorial, Columbus, OH and Pet Cremation Services, Columbus, OH.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ownership of all day‑to‑day operations at the Care Center.
- Implement and manage compliance and environmental initiatives.
- Ensure safe operations and maintain a compliant facility.
- Demonstrate a strong business acumen and act with an owner’s mindset.
- Review P&L statements and conduct monthly cost reviews.
- Collaborate on annual budget development with finance and senior leadership.
- Utilize KPIs to set objectives and drive performance.
- Analyze intake demand signals and manage on‑time fulfillment of orders.
- Coordinate labor requirements against demand.
- Manage tools, supplies, packaging, and product inventory.
- Track orders from intake to delivery using PeT software.
- Resolve order exceptions and coordinate with client care and clinics.
- Monitor deliveries, expedite due shipments, and optimize pick‑up routes.
- Maintain inventory levels, reorder as necessary, and manage quality control.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement activities.
- Enforce health, safety, and human resources initiatives.
- Hire, train, and manage technician team, ensuring engagement and competencies.
- Verify timecards and manage biweekly payroll and expenses.
- Conduct training for new and existing team members.
- Build relationships with pet owners, veterinarians, and stakeholders.
- Keep the facility tour‑ready and maintain safety measures.
- Adhere to equipment preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform all operations and customer service duties, including loading, cremation processing, packaging, and driver/customer service roles.
- Manage local client relations and address concerns independently.
- Engage Sales team on clinic retention and adoption initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary degree preferred.
- Three to five years supervisory experience in an industrial or service environment.
- Certified in Pet Cremation (CPCOP) preferred.
