Job summary
Gold Coast Health Plan is seeking a seasoned Salesforce-focused Business Analyst to join our California team. You will gather business requirements from internal stakeholders, participate in process mapping, and help create SOPs while supporting cross-functional workflows.
Responsibilities include configuring Salesforce, developing with Apex and LWC, managing data, performing testing and releases, and translating requirements into scalable solutions in a healthcare setting.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a business/operations analyst in a Salesforce environment.
- Hands-on Salesforce development and administration experience including Flow, security/configuration, data management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, APIs/integrations and deployment tools.
- Proven ability to create and maintain high-quality business documentation and training materials.
- Strong analytical skills with Excel and data visualization proficiency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, plus project management exposure.

- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from internal stakeholders.
- Support process mapping, documentation, and the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to capture action items and identify potential process improvements.

- Develop, configure, and maintain Salesforce solutions, including custom objects, fields, Lightning pages, flows, validation rules, formulas, and other declarative automation.
- Support Salesforce administration, including user setup, profiles, permission sets, roles, queues, sharing, security, and access management.
- Develop and maintain Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, integrations, and other custom Salesforce functionality as needed.
- Troubleshoot Salesforce issues, monitor system performance, and perform root-cause analysis and resolution for defects and production support needs.
- Support Salesforce release and deployment activities across development, testing, UAT, and production environments, including change sets and source-control/deployment tools.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and recommend appropriate declarative or programmatic approaches.
- Assist with data collection, validation, and entry into reports or dashboards under guidance.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports to provide actionable insights for enhancing member/provider engagement and service delivery.
- Create training materials and guides to support system adoption; deliver user training if/when applicable
- Contribute to the development of training materials, job aids, or reference guides in collaboration with SMEs.
- Conduct system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate changes. Coordinate and facilitate UAT among several users if/when needed.
- Work with vendors and internal technical teams for system configuration, Salesforce troubleshooting, integrations, and implementation of new features.
- Manage tasks and projects using agile principles, including backlog management and sprint planning.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Support light project management efforts, assisting with task prioritization, project timelines, and cross-functional communication.
- Help monitor project timelines and task completion using basic project tracking tools.
- Demonstrate continuous learning and actively seek mentorship from senior analysts.
- 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst, operations analyst, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience developing and administering Salesforce, including Flow, security/access configuration, data management, and platform troubleshooting.
- Experience with Salesforce development technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, APIs/integrations, and deployment tools.
- Proven ability to create and maintain high-quality business documentation and training materials.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation, Excel, and/or visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project management principles and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer, or related Salesforce certification preferred.
- Prior experience in a regulated or healthcare-related industry

The estimated pay range for the position is:
$100,000.00 - $150,000.00
The pay range above represents the minimum and maximum rate for this position in California. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Salary range will vary for remote positions outside of California and future increases will be based on the pay band for the city and state you reside in.
