As an Operations Assistant Manager in Training, you will support store operations, focusing on the front-end and sales floor, and assist with hiring, training, and developing store staff.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store functions and operations as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect store assets, including cash, and ensure adherence to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Ensure store areas, including stockrooms and sales floors, meet company standards.
• Provide supervision for hourly associates when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Process corporate directives and communicate relevant store activities.
• Assist with receipt, return, and management of DSD merchandise, following policies.
• Support staffing, sales effectiveness, cash handling, merchandising, and store displays.
• Manage store supplies, expenses, and promotional programs.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store operations.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a high-energy team environment.
