Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives and related store activities as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling practices are followed.
12. Coordinate signage and manage seasonal displays and promotional fixtures.
13. Process damaged merchandise daily.
14. Assist with weekly scheduling and store supplies management.
15. Maintain checkout area and store-front displays to maximize impulse sales.
16. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
